Get Into Your Sanctuary Day – June 27-28

This is a day designated to celebrating the National Marine Sanctuary System that protects America’s waters. There are several marine sanctuaries across the United States, but if you’d rather stay local, visit one of New York State’s many waterways, get in and enjoy while being mindful of the fact that you are sharing this space with marine life.

No matter your preference in activities, June is the perfect month to get outdoors and explore what New York State has to offer. The hundreds of campgrounds across the state make it easy to do this while away from home, or if you prefer to stay local, visit a park or trail near you.
