The Greater Niagara Region

Greater Niagara Region

Come with us and experience the majestic views of the Niagara Falls, a sight that attracts visitors from around the world. Formed over 10,000 years ago, these falls, over 2/3 of a mile wide, spill 40 million gallons of water per minute over a 180-foot drop.

After taking in the view from above, you might get into your waterproof gear and explore the spectacular Cave of the Winds or take a cruise by the cascade in the 150-year-old Maid of the Mist.

There's more to explore in our region. Visit Greater Niagara's "Country Byways," offering one-of-a-kind travel experiences such as the Jell-O Museum, Medina Railroad Museum, Letchworth State Park - "The Grand Canyon of the East," and the Beaver Meadow Audubon Center. The city of Buffalo is considered a 2009 Distinctive Destination by the National Trust for Historic Preservation (and of course, you should come try the original Buffalo Wings here, too).
